CHURCH OF GOD NEAR ME – IN QUEZON CITY
I’M TRAVELING NOW…
Hi, I’m currently traveling around the local areas of Philippines. I was born in a very remote island in Balasan, which is known for its bibingka and ever since I graduated high school there, I have been working hard to get a living for almost 20 years.
Looking back in the past, I think I have always been pressed for time, working night and day without stopping both in a farm and a marketplace. Anyways, I thought I have made enough money for my life and this is how I decided to travel major cities this time. It’s the third day of my trip on Camiguin island today. Indeed, the scenery is so beautiful that it is a waste to be seeing it alone, I believe and tomorrow, I’m planning to visit Manila, perhaps the busiest city in the country. On arriving, I am visiting Rizal Park where I would love to read some fantasy novels over a cup of coffee under the brilliant sunshine. In addition, spending time at SM shopping mall would be so much fun too, I guess. I remember my kids desperately wanted to get ipad pro 9.7 as a gift when I return home but I’m still deciding whether to get it because of a ridiculously high price though.
MET SOMEONE WHO ASKED “CHURCH OF GOD NEAR ME.”
Today, however, I encountered two different people asking for the same things, which I thought was very interesting. Holding a heavy backpack on my shoulder, I was in the middle of taking a picture of a flock of birds flying up in the sky on the beach. At that time, a British lady speaking a very strong accent approached to me and asked, “Is there a Church of God near me in this area?” I thought she must be new here as a tourist just like me. A couple of hours later after lunch, I met another guy who seemed so tired of his trip (I could tell him as a visitor from his BIG backpack!) but he looked very humble though. He asked me the same question with a smiling face.
To be honest, I was very glad to meet someone who was looking for the Church of God since I was going to visit that exact church during my stay in Manila; it was one of my important plans for this trip. Actually, I do have a good memory about the Church of God, even though I couldn’t attend the worship this year at all because of my super busy work. Last year alone, however, I used to attend the worship on Sabbath in the Church of God in Balasan. Even though I couldn’t continue attending the church since last January, I still remember the very bright and warm atmosphere of the church along with nice people with beautiful smiling face. More interestingly, I was deeply amazed and even moved by the words of God through the Bible study. Now that I’m on a tour without worrying about my kids, work, and everything back at home, I would definitely want to visit there.
NOW I FOUND CHURCH OF GOD NEAR ME.
As Manila is a big city, I was pretty sure there is a Church of God near me anyway and there surely was! because luckily enough, I could easily find the address and a map of the church on google. –#36 Kalayaan Avenue, Central Diliman, Malaya, Quezon City –
I already feel excited to visit and see members from the church, spending time together by studying the Bible, having delicious food, talking about everything and so on. If anyone wants to visit the Church of God in Manila, please refer to the following information at http://phwmscog.com/
